Hello, I set up multisync between evolution 1.4 and a palm pilot, wanting to use it to carry my contacts list with me. I do not want to propagate updates back to the computer. To this end, I checked only contacts under "data types to synchronize", and under Filters, for data of type contact, from second to first plugin (first is evo, second is palm), the filter rule is Never Synchronize.
Somehow many of the contacts got duplicated on the palm, so I started deleting a few so I could re-sync them back on correctly. However, after the sync these contacts are gone from my evolution! Is my understanding of what the filters are supposed to do incorrect? Is there some way to configure it as I have described, where it doesn't ever read any contact changes from the palm back into the computer? And does anyone happen to know if there is a backup file of the contacts database somewhere?
