Hello! I joined this list a few weeks ago and asked a question about my Motorola E680 and Synml. Nobody replied, which is fine, but I figured I'd ask again.
Is there anyone out there who can help me figure out why SyncML fails handshake with this phone? I imagine many Linux enthusiasts will choose this phone or another Motorola Linux phone (A768, A780, etc) and if sync functionality is available on Linux I'm sure it'll be apreciated. Here's what I've figured out so far: The specs seem to indicate OBEX support, but OBEX over (USB_ serial doesn't seem to work, I don't have a BT dongle to test with yet. The phone supports SyncML over WAP but the handshake does not seem to work. The phone supports SyncML (over OBEX?) on USB Serial, but as far as I can tell Multisync does not. The SyncML software on the phone seems to have been written by Starfish and ID's itself as "Starfish Client Adapter" The Windows sync software included is Exzsync or something like that. Any help would be greatly apreciated. I'm willing to help in any way I can short of lending the phone out :) Thanks -Scott ------------------------------------------------------- The SF.Net email is sponsored by: Beat the post-holiday blues Get a FREE limited edition SourceForge.net t-shirt from ThinkGeek.
