I hope you can give me some advice. For a long time, I've been keeping
my Palm synchronized with jpilot. I sync the Palm against jpilot both on
my home computer and my work computer. Now, I've also acquired a
Bluetooth/IrMC phne (SonyEricsson T630).

I've got Multisync to back up both the Palm and the phone, so
communication works. But I haven't figured out the right way to keep
Palm, phone and desktop synchronized. I've done some experiments, but
sometimes nothing has changed at all, and at other times, I've ended up
with a lot of duplicate records. I am hoping for some advice about how I
should go about synchronization.

I would like to have one category of contacts on the Palm synchronized
with the phone.

There is one way which works, and doesn't involve Multisync at all. I
can just wipe the phone address book and beam all the addresses from the
Palm. But that loses numbers I've added on the phone.

The phone doesn't keep as much info per contact as the Palm. I don't
want to lose data. So if a contact which exists on the Palm has changed
on the phone, I would like a report, which tells me which record is
involved and
- if Multisync changes the Palm contact, saves the previous version of
  the Palm contact
- or if Multisync leaves the Palm contact alone, tells me what the
new version on the phone looks like.
