Hello,
I was using before Multisync to sync my ipaq running opie and my laptop but I haven't been for over 5 months due to a backpacker trip in Central America.
I will be back in Europe very soon and I was thinking about one thing, but do you think that such project in possible to do?
Basically, I have 4 devices to sync. - a mobile - an ipaq - 2 laptops running both evolution 2
So I was thinking of setting up a central SyncML server on a webserver using Sync4j? to ease the process. But when I read the ML, I really wonder if such sync pairs could work... or if I'd rather modify my expctations to sync only an ipaq, mobile and one laptop (with the laptop being the master sync)...
Unfortunately the current syncml plugin wont really work with sync4j right now. You will have to wait for the next version of the syncml plugin to do that.
Besides that you should be able to sync your devices with normal sync pairs.
Hi armin and thxs for your answer! But if I use normal sync pairs, is there like an order for syncing that I will always have to follow to make sure that no change will be lost for instance: 1) Ipaq to laptop 1 2) Laptop 1 to Laptop 2 3) Laptop1 to phone Or can I sync all the time in whatever order I feel like cos' Multisync will manage to understand all the sync pairs modif etc???
Well thats a good question. Multisync _should_ notice that you are syncing different sync pairs and sync correctly, but no guarantee is given :)
btw, is it possible to run Multisync on my ipaq to create a basic pair Ipaq <-> mobile phone??
if you mean like running *on* the ipaq -> no if you mean running on the pc to sync the ipaq and the mobile -> yes :)
Cheers, Ludovic
