Hi Masaf,

Here some details about my config:

in /etc/openldap/slapd.conf

# Some schema I include
include /etc/openldap/schema/core.schema
include /etc/openldap/schema/cosine.schema
include /etc/openldap/schema/inetorgperson.schema
include /etc/openldap/schema/mozillaOrgPerson.schema
include /etc/openldap/schema/evolutionperson.schema
include /etc/openldap/schema/nis.schema
include /etc/openldap/schema/samba.schema
include /etc/openldap/schema/openldap.schema

# compatibility with ldap v2
allow bind_v2

# details about db
database bdb
suffix "dc=domain,dc=com"
rootdn "cn=Manager,dc=<domain>,dc=com"
# Cleartext passwords, especially for the rootdn, should
# be avoid. See slappasswd(8) and slapd.conf(5) for details.
# Use of strong authentication encouraged.
rootpw secret
rootpw {MD5}<crypted password>
# The database directory MUST exist prior to running slapd AND
# should only be accessible by the slapd and slap tools.
# Mode 700 recommended.
directory /var/openldap-data

(..)

You can download the non-standard schema I have used at this address:
http://cgi.ethz.ch/~jayetp/download/ldap_schema/

On the multisync side: Specify your server address, username and
password (like in the slapd file). For the ldap database I specifiy the
node where I want to save my contacts (i.e.
ou=People,dc=<domain>,dc=com, the organisation unit People must already
exists). "allow write to db" checked. On the syncml plugin I have
checked the "disable string table" (I think this is nokia 6600
dependant). That's it.

Please let me know if you get it to work and if the sync in direction
ldap to phone is working alright (because for me it's not).

Greetings. :)

Patrick
