By the way: I don't know who build the rpms, but the multisync 0.82 RPMs
also install to /usr/local.

rpm -qpl /home/shared/linux/bluetooth/multisync/multisync-0.82-
fc2.1.i386.rpm
/usr/local/bin/multisync
/usr/local/include/multisync
/usr/local/include/multisync/multisync.h
/usr/local/share/multisync
/usr/local/share/multisync/pixmaps
/usr/local/share/multisync/pixmaps/multisync-16.png
/usr/local/share/multisync/pixmaps/multisync.png
/usr/local/share/multisync/pixmaps/multisync.xpm
/usr/local/share/multisync/pixmaps/multisync_small.png
/usr/local/share/multisync/pixmaps/resync_small.png
/usr/share/applications/multisync.desktop

So Dan, yes, you have to remove the rpms, otherwise they will be
overwritten and you are running into trouble when you try to remove
them.
