I have the same problem with my pair evo2-ipaq. Events defined on the
ipaq are appearing in evo2 with a UTC timezone, and i have to change
that setup each time in evo (luckily, the following updates on the same
event does not change the timezone).

I believe the problem is coming from the synce-plugin not defining any
timezone when it gets event from my ipaq.

What's very annoying is that the evo2 plugin is not using a sensible
default timezone when there is none defined in the event.

And, unlike you, I have no way to configure the plugins to "enable a
bugfix" :-(
