Hello all, I am owning a Siemens S65 since some weeks (actually it's a german S6V, vodafone branded, hence, but that shouldn't matter).
I am trying lot of things to get access to the phone's addressbook under SuSe Linux. Finally I found a note from David Krapohl in this mailing list describing access trough qobexclient. He described it via bluetooth, which I however do not have on my laptop. Instead I use the IrDa port: qobexclient -t irda -u irmcsync -g "telecom/pb.vcf" -f S65_Adressbook.vcf This works fine for downloading the book as a VCard2.1 file. However, uploading to the phone, hence, qobexclient -t irda -u irmcsync -p "telecom/pb.vcf" -f S65_Adressbook.vcf just hangs up. Phone shows request by "application stopped during sync", but nothing happens. Anybody, perhaps David, know why this works with Bluetooth (-t bt) but not IrDa? Is it working for Bluetooth, since a dedicated RFCOMM channel needs to be used to make write access? By the way, it's the same situation for calendar (-g "telecom/cal.vcs" works, but put (-p) not) Appreciate any hint, Rolf ------------------------------------------------------- SF email is sponsored by - The IT Product Guide Read honest & candid reviews on hundreds of IT Products from real users.
