Doing nothing means it can't connect to the server, or can't find 
collections on the server, or it is apache.

The GUI does not give any error messages. 

export MULTISYNC_DEBUG=1

will give you some error messages on the terminal from where you started
multisync.

You can now find a version on the server which gives you some more
detailed information about the "save and test". (on the terminal).

Ooops. I checked that. If you close the window via windowmanager and
not via Cancel or OK, multisync doesn't get the message. I will correct
that.

No, that should be O.K. 

Some Questions:
- multisync version
- Server you tried to connect to.
- path you entered (trailing slash? apache need it)
