Hi Armin First of all, thanks for your quick response, and from the developer too. I have taken a look at www.opensync.org as you suggested, but I still have some more questions.
I read that MultiSync 0.9x will become the GUI to OpenSync. Does this mean MultiSync 0.9x will only be completed when OpenSync is completed? The OpenSync version numbers (0.17) give the impression OpenSync could be years away especially when it took x years for MultiSync to reach 0.8x. MultiSync 0.9x requires OpenSync, but the version numbers aren't in sync (sorry about the joke, I couldn't resist the pun). The fact that there is no SyncML plug-in in the download section only adds to my concerns. How far away is OpenSync/SyncML plug-in from completion? Can I help test to speed up the beta completion? Unfortunately, there is a reported bug (more >like a showstopper to me) in the SyncML plug-in for MultiSync 0.8.2, >which after synchronisation, duplicates the entries in Evolution while the Nokia entries are correct. If it is going to be years before MultiSync/OpenSync reaches completion, is there any chance of a patch for the duplication error above in the 0.8x branch? I am just looking for a solution to my problem. In fact, reading your white paper, I just wish more developers were as considerate as you to develop a cross-platform, multi-distro product, with a CL interface to ensure GUI independence. I guess, in time, there will be a "MuliKync" GUI for KDE? I look forward to your comments.
