Hi Armin,

my Palm m505 in its current state does not support different start and end days for events. It seems not possible to enter (even manually) recurring events with an end date for the recurrence. This is, of course, a problem of the Palm software itself. Does anyone familiar with the Palm know if there is a software update which runs on the m505 and fixes these limitations? I remember that last time I owned a Palm (5 years ago or so) I bought some 30$ shareware which extended the functionality of the built-in Palm calendar software (don't remember what the name of the app was), but the question remains if the software update or replacement (if any) would properly work with MultiSync. Another possibility would be to automatically create substitutes events for recurring and multi-day events. IIRC some plugin has implemented this kind of functionality but I may be wrong.

Hi,

someone gave me a Palm m505 recently as a gift. The software version on the device is 4.0. I can attach the USB cradle and sync it with the Palm and Mozilla Sunbird plugins over WebDAV. Everything seems to work fine, except there are some problems with multiple-day events:

1. Events that span multiple days are only shown on the first day in the palm, regardless if they are entered as being "whole-day" or having a specified start and end time.

2. Events that span multiple days entered as "recurring events" in sunbird (with start and end day given) will start at the given day, but last forever on the palm.

Anyone knows how to work around this?
