The make may don't to be installed, you must do as root
apt-get update
apt-get install make
or use the synaptic to find and install the make.
good luck.
2005/12/28, Jonas Kimvall <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>:
Ok, I am almost there. All I need now is the IRMC plug-in and I should
be set.
Everything else is available as .deb/Debian packages and I've installed
those (that's easy!). So no problem there. But in order to install the
IRMC plug-in I need to download the libopensync-plugin-irmc-0.18.tar.gz
tarball and unpack it, which I have done.
According to the INSTALL file, I need to do the following:
1. `cd' to the directory containing the package's source code
2. Type `./configure'
3. Type `make' to compile the package.
4. Type `make install' to install the programs and any data files and
documentation.
But I only get to step 2. When I type 'make' I get the following
message:
bash: Make: command not found.
What am I doing wrong? I'm currently running Ubuntu, and I am fairly
new to the Linux world.
I feel that I am REALLY close to getting the sync between my computer
and cellphone running, so any help is VERY welcome.
Thanks in advance.
