I have bought a K750i specifically because it supports SyncML
and this works fine for contacts, at least when using Sync4j
2.3b4 as server (after replacing PipelineManager.xml with
PipelineManagerGeneric.xml in the server's Sync4j.xml). I have
not tried other databases yet.

This gets off-topic, but let me briefly mention that I got
my SyncML client for Evolution working well enough for contacts
so that I can sync between phone and Evolution
(http://sf.net/projects/sync4jevolution).
