Hi,
After a long period when nothing worked I tried the latest synce and
multisync. I was very happy to find that at last synce worked. I could
connect after using synce-serial-config and synce-serial-start (as root)
and starting dccm as user gave (after I found out that dccm needs the
password for the device) an icon on my desktop with 'Mobile Device" and
nautilus showed me the contents of my PDA (HP1720).
However when I stared multisync (as user) I got the following messages:

My system: AMD64 1 Gb mem. sufficient diskspace; Linux laguna.nwhq.nl
2.6.17-1.2187_FC5; synce-0.9.1-7.fc5; multisync-0.90.18-5.fc5
I have the following questions:
1. Where does multisync find the status "Unclean shutdown"
2. Where does the ALSA lib error come from
3. The .png file is missing (and I can't find it on the Internet).
What are my errors? I need this synchronisation urgently as I currently
do it by hand which is very error prone.
