Relaying on automatic transaction management of COM+ to access SQL server. This way COM+ is using MSDTC which in turn using RPC to access SQL server. there is firewall in between Web and database server which don't have any RPC port open. and my administrator is reluctant to open it due to security problems. Can I use Kerberos for the same application? will RPC not required for MSDTC any more if use Kerberos?
