This solution s quiet good.

There is one more solution.
Before posting call a javascript function which
selects all elements of listbox.
Then on the server use
Request.Form["ListboxName"].
This will give the values of all the items selected
separated by comma, in case the number of selected items are more than
one.
You need to split them and then foreach transfer
listitems from availble items listbox to selected items listbox.

Let me know if you need sample code.
I have also implemented javascript for transferring
multiple items in multi select listbox.

Regards,
Saurabh

Hi,

One of the ways to work
around this problem would be to use 2 hidden asp.net
label
controls. While adding or removing items from each listbox
                using
clientside code, do the same from the hidden labels as
                well. Of course on
pageload u will have to ensure that the
labels contain the list of ids in
the textbox (comma
separated.). you will find tons of samples on the
                web
illustrating this concept. In case u can't find it
                yourself, lemme know,
I'll hunt for a sample on my hard disk
                and send it to you.

Nauzad Kapadia

I have two listboxes on
an ASP.NET form. Client side, I'm allowing the
user to move
elements back and forth from each listbox. I'm using
                javascript
that uses the document.createElement, and the
                options collection of each
listbox to add and remove options.
Problem is that when I post back, the
items collection of
each of these controls does not reflect the options that
were
added or removed on the client-side. Any thoughts on why this
                is. To
work around this, I'm doing a post-back every time
                they select to move
options, but this seams like a lot of
overhead just to move an item from one
listbox to
                another.
