Hi Sachin,   Ways are many. If you are looking for a programmatic mechanism, the 
hottest right now is Visual Studio Tools for Office 11. Creating  SmartDocuments. Of 
course, designed to work for Office 11. But what you can do is, write Code-Behind for 
an Excel Spreadsheet. When you open the spreadsheet, Excel's code-behind executes, 
which could easily execute code to access a Sql Server the .NET way i.e. using Managed 
Providers. For the end user, the experience is just about clicking opening an Excel 
Spreadsheet. The code behind fetches the data from a Sql Server at real time. Get more
