Backup all .rpt files (those are the only source files needed at last) 2. Get new machine Install Visual Basic 6.0 + Sp5, CR 8 3. Open your VB project ( You will get error for the references of CR, But Load the project as it is). 4. Delete earlier references crystal Reports from all forms whereever exist. (Document all this forms and CR component names). 5. Reference the components of Crystal Report in the necessary forms. 6. Relate all .rpt to respective CR objects. 7. Save the project. You can see the project is migrated to Crsytal Reports 8.
