Hey, I want to perform a simple customization with the Windows Forms
DataGrid control. If I create a DataSet with a DataRelation defined and set the parent
table to the DataSource property of the DataGrid, we all know that the DataGrid would
display the parent rows in the grid with a expandable plus sign, upon clicking of
which the link to navigate to the child rows would be possible. However, I do not wish
to see that link as the default response of a datagrid to child rows display. I want
the child rows to be visible "in-place" below the parent rows upon expanding the
parent row. As this is a matter of immediate attention, I would appreciate a speedy
response. Kindly post a replyif you have a tangible solution with code to substantiate
it. I have already tried various methods. I have looked at what kind of messages are
received by the grid in response to user interface actions as well as attempted
sub-classing the grid, overriding whatever methods are available to be overriden to
get an idea of the internal communication within the grid but to no avail. Thank you
for your precious time. Thanks & Regards, ubbus.
