----------------------------------------------------------- From: Akila.NET Message 1 in Discussion Hi MUG members, You are right in stating that the topics once decided for a meet should not be changed and if it has to be done then it should be done with appropriate notice. i would like to clarify here that, changes happen only if there is a lot of request for other topics and not much reponse for the ones put up. However, this is in no way a justification for what happened this month. I would like to reiterate here that any session announced in the MUG meet is in the interest of the members and we would like to announce topics that would benefit all. So in a way its driven by the members. Its very heartening to know that many members have started voicing their feedbacks and we welcome more such feedbacks and participation from all members for this community to grow :). Another point raised by members is very valid that we should try not to combine developer meets and IT Pro meets. This is very very valid and honestly we also don't want that to happen. We are working towards getting a venue to hold the ITPro or PASS meets so that we don't have to club these with the developer meets. As you all are aware Venue has been a grear problem that MUG has been facing for a long time now. We have fixed up with MET for Developer meets on every 4th saturday. I hope thats fine by everybody. With Abhishek's and Sanjay Shetty's help we are approaching other colleges for a venue for IT Pro and PASS activities. We are working towards starting independent meets for IT Pros and PASS from this month itself. If any of you have contacts or suggestions for other venues, please let us know, we would like to explore all options. It has been really very heartening to know members like Vipul, Amish and many others take active partcipation. :). BTW: For the next meet the topic is going going to be "Whidbey Visual C# langauge features" with demos.IS that okay with every one? If any of you want to share your experience with other members during the MUG meets, let us know.
