I think your application requires Administrator rights to access some details from opeating system but not a user of admin group...and i think for that purpose you can fetch permission from operting system using System.Security.Permission...... The Best example of Such Admin. level permission is given in DirectX9 SDK samples...where even microsoft people has written that ...they are not miss-using this permission....
