  Hi
.Net is so versatile that it allows you to create and use your own AppSettings too....

For that you will have to define custome section in the web.config file. and then you
will have to create key value pairs in the newly create section in the form of tag
attributes.
<configuration>
   <configSections>
      <section name="sampleSection"
               type="System.Configuration.SingleTagSectionHandler" /> <!-- Define -->
   </configSections>
   <sampleSection setting1="Value1" setting2="value two" setting3="third value" />
<!-- Set Value -->
</configuration>
Once custom section is define you can use it with the
ConfigurationSettings.GetConfig()
IDictionary sampleTable = (IDictionary)
ConfigurationSettings.GetConfig("sampleSection");
string strSetting1 = (string)sampleTable["setting1"];
string strSetting2= (string)sampleTable["setting2"];
string strSetting3= (string)sampleTable["setting3"];
I hope the concept is now clear to you.... Regards M Aamir Maniar System Analyst
