----------------------------------------------------------- New Message on MumbaiUserGroup
----------------------------------------------------------- From: Rohit_BD Message 6 in Discussion It is the application's responsibility to ensure that when the datasource changes, it is not because of the DataSet. Not doing so will result in incorrect operation. The very idea behind a DataSet is to have an "in memory" copy of the data and as such must not be altered in any way, although the DataSet can update the datasource when it's AcceptChanges() method is called. This basically has problems in a multi-user scenario where the same table or same row of a table may be updateable by many users. In such cases it's best to use the DataSet for read-only operations only. Changes to the datasource must only be made by using the Command object and the DataSet must be refreshed by requerying the dataset. ----------------------------------------------------------- To stop getting this e-mail, or change how often it arrives, go to your E-mail Settings. http://groups.msn.com/MumbaiUserGroup/_emailsettings.msnw Need help?
