I have all my inserts/updates/deletes inside a transaction , and all proper rellback
if any exception occurrs. WAHT I WANT IS (reason expalined below) to lock the tables
immediately after begining of the transactions. Implement a retry mechanism (some way)
if locking fails. If it is not feasible in a reasonable time (say 5 seconds ?) then
throw an error. If all locks do succeed, I have free access to the tables and do not
have to implement further locking. ACTUAL SCERNERIO: As the webservice is used by
the client, biztalk throws a lot of update requests at the same time. If I have no
provision for locking, a lot of them fail and are started again by the biztalk server.
This can lead to so many requests the server cannot cope and it generates more and
more errors If you have any idea on retry mechanism, please share the same
