problem showing values in dropdown greater than max width of dropdwon

Hi All, I need to show data in the dropdown whose length is
greater than the width of the dropdown. Can i manipulate in such a way that
when i click on the dropdown the options appear in the list below as full
length so that the width of the dropdown doesnt change. I tried changing the
width of the dropdown on the click of the dropdown but it defeats the purpose
as i cannot have the dropdwon expanding which causes the placements of the
adjacent contols to change. I also tried setting the z-order of the drown but
to no great use. N E other suggestion guys. Thanks in adavnce, Regards, Saji.
