Hello all , It really feels nice to be part of this
mailing list. Today i would also like to post my difficulties on this group.
Iam working on a project which involves the usage of log4net in order to write
messages into a file simultaneously by more than two proceses or clients...now
i have two queries 1> I have found on this forum that write access
on files is not given to other processes when the file is being currently being
used by a process. One of the way around this is to use remotingfile appender to
enter all messages into a sink and then log all the events into the log
file....is there any other method to acheive the same in log4net ? I haven't
found any code snippets on the internet demonstrating this capability of
writing to the same log file by multiple processes....can some one who has
already done this provide me with the code snippet so that i can use the same
in my project !!...its very urgent !! 2> another query that i have is
that rollingfile appender generates file name such as log.txt .1...how do we
customize the appender so that we can have file names such as log1.txt instead
of log.txt.1 ? Awating your reply soon, regards, venkat.
