Hi Thanks for the promt reply. Agreed that the ADO.Net uses XML
n so the data fetching and other things are fast n is the best way. But the
thing is that when i Use the first method i.e one using Crystal OlE DB Command
object where i put my query in the crystal report and not in the XSD schema.its
the crystal report who will be fetching the data upon the parameters provided
through my program n so there shld be no question of storing data in variables.
Now is it the case that fetching of data by crystal is slower as compared to
that of ADO.Net XML.?? Now the disadvantage of Crystal OLEDB Command object
is that i have to embbed the query in the rpt file and if any changes have to
be made to the rpt file and if the reports are nt stored at one location n are
distributed to user location then the new .rpt file has to be replaced at all
the user location.
