I have a very strange problem.

I have a image button in a ASP.NET Page. With src =
'../images/clear.gif'. When I browse this page in IE with the correct
case of virtual directory, the image is getting displayed. If change
the case of the virtual directory, I lose the image.

i.e.
Lets assume my virtual directory name is : MyApplication
when I browse the page with this URL it work:
http://localhost/MyApplication/Folder/SamplePage.aspx
(I checked the src of image is '../images/clear.gif')
when I change case of the Virtual folder
:http://localhost/MYAPPLICATION/Folder/SamplePage.aspx
(I check the src if image, this time it is '../MYAPPLICATION/images/clear.gif')

I don't understand how the image source is getting changed.

NOTE: I am adding the image through user control.
