Nicky, The order is Source code > CSC > IL CSC: C sharp
compiler. this is the assembly generated through visual studio or through
command line compiler csc.exe When you launch the exe, JIT compiler
compiles this into native code IL > JIT Compiler > Native code ( your native
code is your final output).
