Topic : User Defined Data types and User Defined Aggregates in SQL Server 2005.
UDTs are a feature to enable a developer to create his own data types that can
be used to extend the capabilities of his database. Imagine creating a datatype
called "Email" and encapsulating all validations and functionality regarding
emails within the database itself. Once a datatype has been created, there is
no need to do any further validation of the data in your presentation or middle
tier components. There are many other pros and cons to creating UDTs which will
be explored in this 2 hour hands-on session.
NOTE : SINCE THIS IS A HANDS-ON SESSION, ONLY THE FIRST 30 ATTENDEES PRESENT AT
THE VENUE WILL GET A CHANCE TO DO THE DEMOS AND EXERCISES ON THE COMPUTER.
