Hello once again, I wanted to have a discussion on this forum as I know that
there are some good people out there. But it seems that they are busy!! Cheers
again, Sudesh Hello Everyone out there, I wanted to validate the processes
that are used in initial stages of software development. So I want to start
this thread. Before starting this I would like to point out that I am aware
that this is a .net group, but I found that it would be a good starting place
for having suggestions from fellow developers/designers. I have over 6 years of
software experience and am aware of the theoretical process. What I am
interested in knowing is how near and pure have software designers followed
these process. - What do you mean by requirements and how do you say that
Requirements are final - Does anyone think that requirements and software
specifications are different - What do you mean by and what is scope of a
Requirements Document - What do you mean by and what is scope of a Functional
Specification Document - What do you mean by and what is scope of a Design
Document - Do you ever prepare Interface Specification/Control Document - How
closely do you follow UML modelling - What tools are used for modelling In
all the projects I have used only three modelling tools - Rational XDE, Winword
Word art toolbar, and my pen and paper. Of course a couple of times I have used
visio, but more for activity diagrams. Cheers, Sudesh
