hi, i have to provide download link for files in datagrid. I am using the
following code Response.Clear()
Response.AddHeader("Content-Disposition", "attachment; filename=" +
e.Item.Cells(13).Text)
Response.AddHeader("Content-Length", File.Length.ToString())
Response.ContentType = "text/plain"
Response.WriteFile(File.FullName)
Response.End()
But the above code open the file only if the application in which file is to be
opened is opened prior to trying the download.
i.e in my case i have to download a csv file which opens in excel application.
if already excel application is opened, the download link works fine and opens
the file but if excel application is not opened the download link gives error
that file does not exists.
