Who should attend?
· Senior developers - to fine tune their approach to application
building
· Junior developers - to prevent common mistakes which happen in every
development cycle, unknowingly
· Architects - to design a sturdier, maintainable and secure
application.
· Testing professionals - to create more stringent and higher quality
test cases

Why this seminar?
No clear guidelines - In the initial days of technology, it was just the basic
Client/Server concept which kept everything simple and straightforward. But the
evolving technology has placed at least 18 layers between the user and the
application resulting in a “n tier” application. Yes, we agree that most
developers concentrate and master the tool of their choice, typically VB 6/ VB
/ C# .NET and SQL Server and forget the rest of the tier. Unfortunately,
working thus is not enough to write a scaleable, reliable and secure
application!
This seminar addresses the following issues while managing a n tier
application.
1. Do developers need to concentrate only on their
development tool and forget all about the tiers?
2. Don't administrators or DBAs manage the 'other' layers of
the application?
3. Can't we just choose "default options" and get the code
working?
4. Does it matter if my code works perfectly in the
development environment and fails in the production environment?
5. My application works somehow! Does it have to be reliable,
scalable and secure?
The seminar – ‘Windows Platform for Developers’ is designed to address this
ambiguity and lack of thorough understanding of these very important concepts
and topics.

The speakers

Dr. Nitin Paranjape

Raj Chaudhuri
Dr. Nitin and Raj discuss and analyze each aspect of the Windows Platform from
the developer’s perspective. They have worked with numerous customers and ISVs,
helping them enhance their applications and refine approaches to application
building. This seminar is the result of their combined experience.
The seminar consists of a carefully chosen list of topics to serve as a
