Hmm... I have a idea for you.   Just do one thing. modify your stored proc. 
like the below code.   Alter proc sp_proc_name ( @varname varchar(65) = null )  
 Declaring the above , will solve your purpose. If you dont pass any parameter 
to the above variable from your application , it will assign null to it and 
store null in column. Make sure your column field takes null value..   Hope
