In that matter, you will have to look more about, exactly from where you are getting it, i mean, is it a cable modem, RJ 45 (UTP), Thick Ethernet, Or Wireless, or simple Telephone Lines with ISDN. in each of the connection, you will need to add some sort of hardware programming, Just like Driver programming. You can use/download/digging on the net for the APIs which might be available from the Vendor or any thrid party. Is its somple USB Modem, or COM then it will be a lil easy as you know.
