Hi Manish
I had already created web deployment project for my web application as
described on msdn. There are 2 WDP, one for my web service another for main
site. I use “An assembly for each compiled file in the Web site” feature. It
also creates VD as specified. I understand a little bit of MSBuild task, so it
is possible to work around with actions like ‘post build’ or ‘pre build’. This
will help to perform some useful tasks, like in my case I want to set the
‘Integrated Windows authentication’ mode of the main web site VD to be checked.
Now all these happens at the time of ‘Build’. I want some activity during
setup. If I add a website setup project how do I perform those activities like
‘vd creation’, ‘changing security settings’ etc at the time client runs the
setup.
Regarding WDP will you please explain the following :
1. Is there any way to run my database script to create DB while installing the
application ?User should give parameters like sqlserver name,Database name,User
name password ect.
2. Is there any way to apply patch of web application through web deployment
project.
3. Version management.

Regards
Kaustav.
