DBCC CHECKDB: Checks for the logical and physical integrity of all objects
located in the specified database. "There are 108 rows in 1 pages for
object "sys.sysrowsets""
Indicates how many rows occupied by the current object and in which page.
The syntax is , DBCC CHECKDB
It will check for the,
1. Allocation of objects in the database, (execute DBCC checkalloc)
2. checking the tables and views in the database,(execute DBCC CheckTable)
3. Checking the Catalogs and their consistency.
4. Validates every service Broker data (queues existence and their validity)
5. Validates every indexed view located in the database.
If we dont want the messages and need only to check the database, we have to
execute the below query.
DBCC CHECKDB WITH NO_INFOMSGS Regards, Venkatesan prabu. J
