Dear Dhaval, Thanks for your time and reply, but somehow it doesnt solve my
problem for the reasons mentioned below : I will have to specify all
the URL's that will need to be rewritten in the web.config file, this logic will
not work when i have URL's with querystring variables wherein i can pass
dynamic values. If there is any update in the code i will have to replace
the web.config files in the production as well, this is not viable
hence i was looking forward to some kind of solution wherein i wont need to
specify each and every URL that needs to be rewritten in the web.config
file, instead i want a solution wherein the browser should display the one
constant URL irrespective of what is being called from the code in the
application for eg:-
if request is made for
http://<Servername>/<appName>/filename.aspx?var1=<value>&var2=<value2>
the browser should always display
http://<Servername>/<appName>
is this possible, kindly give your feedback.
Regards,
Shailesh S Patil
