As signle quote is treat is delimeter of char, varchar, nvarchar data type...
You need to use one more single quote as escape character. Please use this
statement...
insert into VenkatTable values('arun''s',20)
Confirm the result..

Thanks for your overwhelming response. I didnt expect this much response from
our group.
Today, our scenario is with insert statement.
I have created a table VenkatTable with name as Varchar and id as int
Now i have started inserting the rows like,
insert into VenkatTable values('arun',20)
Yes i have inserted a row in the table.
Now i have got the values " arun's ", 50. OOps am in big trouble,
insert into VenkatTable values('arun's',20)
My sqlserver is giving me an error instead of inserting the row. provide me
the solution.
