I had the same problem when I used the Aladding eToken Usb token on
linux redhat 7.2. Whenever I started pcscd it exited with a return value
of 1 after trying to open the file /tmp/pcscd as strace revealed. When I
recompiled the sources with the option --enable-usb and --enable-syslog
it worked suddenly.
