Be sure to note which version of OS X your tutorial was written upon. (I understand that OS X 10.2 presented some changes in the USB libraries, so drivers (etc.) should be chosen accordingly.) It would be interesting to know who else on this list is also working with Mac OS X. I am aware of only a very few.
