Hi All,

I'm trying, unsuccessfully, to work with scm SCR331 usb reader (Linux - Suse).

I've installed 'scr331ccidDriver-0.9.0-1.i386.rpm' ( http://www.scmmicro.com/general-downloads.html
and 'scm310Driver-0.9.0.tar.gz' (
http://www.linuxnet.com/sourcedrivers.html ) also ).

I used the 'installifd' utility to register the driver in /etc/reader.conf (which i/o port should be choosen when using usb port ?)
reader.conf looks like this:

FRIENDLYNAME     "SCM "
DEVICENAME       GEN_SMART_RDR
LIBPATH          /usr/local/pcsc/drivers/scr331ccidDriver.bundle/Contents/Linux/scr331ccidDriver
CHANNELID        0x0

but when I'm trying to run pcscd it fails to load the reader's driver.

following is pcscd debug info:

pcscdaemon.c:258 main: debug messages to stdout
readerfactory.c:1318 RFInitializeReader: Attempting startup of SCM 0 0.
readerfactory.c:1060 RFBindFunctions: Loading IFD Handler 2.0
readerfactory.c:1355 RFInitializeReader: Open Port 0 Failed
        readerfactory.c:1190 RFUnloadReader: Unloading reader driver.

  readerfactory.c:219 RFAddReader: SCM init failed.
        pcscdaemon.c:413 main: pcsc-lite daemon ready.

I have another usb token installed on my machine which is loaded and works fine.

any suggestions anyone?

thanks
Amnon
