If you have the pin-outs for the U5 connector and a spare connector (I
forget what they look like) you should be able to cobble an adapter.
I've made a battery pack using one end of a PS2 extension cord and a
4-pack of AA batteries from Radio Shack. You *could* do the same in a
pinch.
