Prompted by the CCID driver release (which works out o fthe box for me -- my OmniKey 3121 now works with PCSC Lite hooray!), I tried the Towitoko driver again. I regrabbed 2.0.7 from the MUSCLE site and compiled and installed from scratch:
./configure --prefix=/usr/local/pkg/towitoko-2.0.7 --enable-usb --enable-usb-bundle --enable-debug=3 --with-pcsc-lite-dir=/usr/local/pkg/towitoko-2.0.7/pcsc make sudo make install pu /usr/local/pkg sudo stow -v towitoko-2.0.7 Then when I plug the device in I get the following in the /var/log/messages: Aug 14 11:36:57 agwisance kernel: hub.c: new USB device 00:1d.1-2.2.3, assigned address 13 Aug 14 11:36:57 agwisance kernel: usbserial.c: PL-2303 converter detected Aug 14 11:36:57 agwisance kernel: usbserial.c: PL-2303 converter now attached to ttyUSB0 (or usb/tts/0 for devfs) Aug 14 11:37:00 agwisance /etc/hotplug/usb.agent: Setup pl2303 for USB product 67b/2303/202 Aug 14 11:37:00 agwisance devlabel: devlabel service started/restarted and the following issued from pcscd (running as pcscd -a -d stderr) readerfactory.c:1319 RFInitializeReader: Attempting startup of Towitoko Chipdrive USB 0 0. readerfactory.c:1061 RFBindFunctions: Loading IFD Handler 2.0 IO: Opening serial port /dev/ttyUSB1 CTAPI: CT_init(ctn=0, pn=32769)=-10 readerfactory.c:1356 RFInitializeReader: Open Port 200001 Failed readerfactory.c:1191 RFUnloadReader: Unloading reader driver. readerfactory.c:220 RFAddReader: Towitoko Chipdrive USB init failed. I am plugging in a Towitoko CHIPDRIVE micro 130 V4 30A Has anyone ever had the Towitoko USB driver working with this USB reader? If so what's the trick that I am missing? (I even changed the ownership of the ttyUSB* files just in case but as pcscd runs as root this should make no difference and didn't.)
