Hello,

I am quite new to the area of smartcards, so I will appreciate if
someone could tell me if it is possible what I intend to do:

A have an apache webserver which is configured to allow two-way
authentification over ssl with the help of a CA-certificat.

I could successfully authenticate clients with Internet Explorer
(windows) or Mozilla (windows, linux) by simply importing the client
certifcates in PKCS#12 format.

My questions:

1. Is it now possible to store the certificates on a smartcard and use
this smartcard either with Internet Explorer or Mozilla on Windows or
Linux?

2. As a smartcard I would like to use the e-gate cryptoflex version. Is
this smartcard supported and functional on a linux system?

3. Do I really need the Schlumberger SDK package to use the e-gate
smartcard under Windows?

Best regards,
Daniel
