Hi,

I'm relatively new to smart cards but not new to the
programming field. I'm into a health card project. I
need to finish up the project by December. With the
good help of u guys i don't think that will be a great
problem.

Actually selecting the card and the reader is
the crucial thing right. And it should support GNU/linux OS.
I think the de-facto standard in health card
application is to use 1K or 2K card with PIN. What
options do i have in selecting the card in this
regard. And what are the readers that can support the
card & my GNU/Linux box. The amount of data my client
wishes to store is really big, so can i get a card
with 8K (or) 16K with PIN.

I'm frm India & would like to use a card & card reader
who has presence here. This is to make sure they
respond quickly for card requests. And i also need the
card pre-printed. How to avail this service. Don't trouble yourself with this para coz
i can do the homework 4 this stuff. But if any one has prior knowledge then u can pass
it on.

On the programming front i would be glad if i could
use C & GTK. Which library i should use(CT-API or
libchipcard). Are there anyother better solution
possible. Any health card related info will also be of
great help.

Please help me out guys.

2LGL ( long Live GNU/Linux ).

Regards,
Navin A.Sylvester
