Hi,

I am happy to announce two new versions for the wonderfull free
softwares pcsc-tools and pcsc-perl :-)

pcsc-perl is a Perl wrapper to the PC/SC smartcard library together with
some small examples. Works under Unix and _also_ Windows.

pcsc-tools contains 3 very usefull tools:
- pcsc_scan: regularly scans every PC/SC reader connected to the host if
a card is inserted or removed a "line" is printed
- scriptor: A Perl script to send commands to a smart card. You can use
a file containing the commands or stdin.
- gscriptor: A Perl script to send commands to a smart card with
  GTK-based graphical interface.

See [1] for snapshots and screen copies.

What's new in these releases?

pcsc-perl:
1.3.0 - 13 December 2003, Ludovic ROUSSEAU
    - add support of SCardControl with $out = $hContext->Control ([EMAIL PROTECTED]);
      Thanks to Andrew Kay.
    - more support of Windows PC/SC and compiler.
Thanks to Andrew Kay and Troy Curtiss
    - array_to_ascii() returns an empty string for an empty list
    - add Makefile_win.PL for Windows
    - Card.pm: by default use T=0 | T=1 protocols instead of just T=0

pcsc-tools:
1.3.2 - 17 December 2003, Ludovic ROUSSEAU
    - scriptor: by default let pcscd select the protocol among T=0 and T=1
. print the protocol actually used
. print textual status word according to ISO 7816
    - gscriptor: change menu accelerator for Run so it can be used even
if a text Text widget is selected
. use paned windows to resize Script and Result frames
. print textual status word according to ISO 7816
    - 16 new ATR in smartcard_list.txt

Thanks to all the contributors. Please continue sending me new ATR,
patches or ideas.
