I don't have the Powerbook anymore at the moment.
What I can tell is that pcscd doesn't crash. It outputs a message about power 
management and after that the reader is dead.

I use an experimental driver for the ACS ACR38U, what I'ld like to know is 
what I should be looking for in the driver's source code to check if power 
management is properly handled.
