Looking at the archive (i.e. [EMAIL PROTECTED] message) suggests
that (1) this is a common problem, and (2) the firmware in my SCR301
USB reader is "not optimal" for Linux. Perhaps an alternate reader
would be better. I'm looking at suitable contact/contactless
readers. I had the old SCR301 reader lying about, but will gladly buy
a new one. I'd appreciate recommendations for alternate hardware.
My goals:
Contact and contactless cards for authentication
Demonstration of possible technologies to upper management
Future standards (more important than backward compatability)
Linux/Java/Open Source development environments
I have a IBM JCOP card, and I want to enable the JCOP
plug-in w/Eclipse. That's when I got stuck.
