I haven't said this for a while: David and co: you are a credit to the open
source movement. The list is all the evidence you need. By putting working
code out there you promote the vital discussion of the design issues. There
is something magical about lists that put out code for people to analyze,
and that then generate talk about the wider issues. This lists reminds me of
something I havn't seen since ssl-talk, in 1994/5. IN 1994, we did know that
SSL was the poor uncle of NSA's/Motorola's/DEC's work on SP4, 10 years
earlier. We did NOT know the effect that SSL from civilian companies would
have on wider infrastructure politics and practice. Likewise, we cannot
actually predict quite what effect the Muscle movement will have; but an
effect it _is _having.
